Picnik 2.3

Award-winning two-seater

Picnik is made from a single sheet of aluminum, cut and bent to shape with zero waste. The form seats two people comfortably at the tabletop and withstands the harshest of the elements outdoors. A perfect example of 'form follows function', Picnik is a true design classic in the Extremis collection.

Powder coating is a technique of applying dry paint to a part. The powdered paint is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the object. The object is then placed in an oven and the powder particles melt and coalesce to form a continuous film. The fine textured powder coating has a high scratch resistance, perfect for intensive use.
Choose wisely
Choose white powder coating, only if you are willing to clean the surface regularly. There is nothing uglier than a dirty piece of design furniture, right? TIP: our furniture with galvanised surfaces are masters of camouflaging dirt. We also call this the 'George Clooney of coating techniques: its look improves with age...

While the holidays may look a bit different this year, toasting with a festive beverage is always a surefire way to create some holiday cheer. As you're preparing yourholiday bar this season, consider coffee: deep and earthy, the flavors of coffee provide the perfect compliment for both Picnik Creamerand the spirit of your choice. (It also gives you a much needed a pep in your step while waiting on the roast to cook.)

Here at Picnik, we believe there's room for coffee at every hour of the day– and cocktail hour is no exception! Keep reading for three recipes to keep you buzzing this season.

BYOB (build-your-own-bar!) HOLIDAY HOT CHOCOLATE

  • 1 25oz carton of Picnik Collagen Creamer
  • 1 25oz carton of Picnik Keto Creamer
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder (we love Droste!)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips of choice (we use Guittard Real Semisweet Chocolate Chips)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • peppermint extract/flavor/essential oil (optional + quantity is to taste)
Garnishes:
  • espresso
  • candy canes
  • marshmallows
  • whipped cream
  • coffee liquor (recipe below!)
  • bourbon
  • vodka
  • irish cream liquor
Add Picnik Creamers + cocoa powder to a large saucepan. Put on medium-high heat and heat on stove until hot, whisking frequently. When hot, add chocolate chips, vanilla, peppermint (optional) and maple syrup (optional) and whisk consistently to combine. Using a handheld frother, froth before serving if desired (optional, as you can use only a whisk if you'd prefer, but the frother adds some nice body and texture).
Once your hot chocolate base is complete, allow your guests to build their own boozy holiday hot chocolate with their own desired accoutrements. You can add 1.5 oz (or more) of bourbon, a splash of coffee liquor, some marshmallows or whipped cream if desired and garnish with a candy cane. Non-alcoholic guests can also drink the hot chocolate on its own!
Have fun, make it festive, and enjoy!
